An initial discussion or mediator interview costs nothing. In the event of appointment all fees are negotiable. As a minimum expect to pay $650 per hour for my time in preparation and conducting the Mediation. Hourly fees are of course divided between the parties 50/50 (or as agreed) so each party would pay an advance based on its equal share of $650 multiplied by the number of hours Where there are more than 2 parties then fees will be calculated and divided appropriately. In respect to in person mediation meetings expenses may also arise and be payable on the usual C Suite Executive terms.
Mediation Advocacy would attract a similar level of fees. With Arbitration work fees are determined by the Arbitral Institution or in ad hoc arbitration agreed between the parties and the tribunal. These are usually broadly similar to the US$ 650 per hour quoted. For longer term evaluative mediation work a discount may be available
A call costs nothing and mediators in international work do not usually compete on cost but on reputation and suitability and availability for the nature of the work.
