As a mediator who is also an advocate, I understand the tactics, strategy and psychology in building and presenting a case in mediation.

Most mediators are content if lawyers do not appear with their clients. As a specialist mediation advocate I can provide support where language difficulties may be in issue or where important points are to be presented with some eloquence. Even seasoned Chief Executives may feel outside their comfort zone in formal dispute resolution settings not knowing the precise process. I can guide and lead the mediation team, in effect acting as a special advisor to a party in dispute.

Mediation advocacy is a growing field and I have represented clients in mediations to good effect relying more on my knowledge and experience as a business person rather that any experience of addressing senior members of the judiciary on complex legal points.

As a mediation advocate I can ask the difficult questions via your mediator on your behalf. More importantly, I bring the knowledge and understanding of  knowing when to collaborate and when to influence. In addition, I can read and measure the temperature of a negotiation and make strategic and tactical decisions on when and where to make a particular point and where to pitch an offer and what its constituents should be.
